Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and promoting their overall well-being
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols for residents with specialized needs, such as hospice care or working with people with autism
- Ensure that residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Provide transportation and drive individuals to appointments or community outings
- Lift and transfer residents as needed, following proper lifting techniques and using assistive devices when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including cleaning and sanitizing living areas

Skills:
- Direct support experience or a background in caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is beneficial
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals with disabilities, their families, and other staff members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have challenging behaviors or communication difficulties

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 36 per week
