The Parking Attendant is responsible for assisting the marina team in order to serve marina customers and guests by performing the main task of checking in vehicles at the front gate and directing traffic to assigned parking spaces, collecting and organizing keys. The parking attendant may also be assigned a variety of other tasks including but not limited to general operation of the grounds and facilities assisting the members. The Parking attendant must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the marina facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide SHM members with the best experience possible
• Greet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional character
• Help orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questions
• Direct and assist in safe and efficient parking
• Store organize and manage vehicle keys
• Assist customers with general needs
• Maintain and clean restrooms, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management
• Ensure company equipment is operational at all times
• Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations
• Availability to work overtime when required
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely in the marina environment 
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Previous parking attendant experience preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
