Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in helping patients improve their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve speech and language skills
- Utilize various techniques and exercises to help patients improve their communication abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication outside of therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing mechanisms
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
