Safe Fleet is Hiring a Sales and Customer Relations Associate Near Verona, PA

Safe Fleet a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for an SALES AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS ASSOCIATE

to work as part of a team installing and repairing Automated Tarp Systems.

The Sales and Customer Relations Associate (S/CRA) will be the primary contact for sales support to the existing customer base and outside sales. In this critical role, a successful S/CRA will act as a liaison between the VP/ Regional Sales Managers, the customer, and operations, assisting in all matters of order entry, order fulfillment and customer billings. The evolving culture of the company is one focused on teamwork and empowerment. The successful S/CRA will be a leader who will act as a customer liaison within the organization as it transitions to a higher growth enterprise. The ability to support improvements throughout all commercial aspects of the business as well strong interpersonal skills and the ability to evaluate sales data and trends will be major components of the job. Given the company’s growth plans, it will also be necessary for the S/CRA to aspire to assume more responsibility as Vango Rolling Tarp Solutions continues to evolve.

Specific performance objectives for the position are as follows:

  • Primary contact for all existing customers, including a network of independent dealer installation & repair centers, for order receipt, timely order fulfillment, and invoicing.
  • Primary contact for all existing customers for estimates/quotes, billing questions, and processing of warranty items.
  • Initial contact for customers that visit the Verona site needing parts or service assistance; Receives and greets customers upon their entry into the main lobby; Answers calls that are forwarded from the automated attendant / phone system and routes them accordingly.
  • Scheduling of FTL logistics to support system orders to independent dealer network.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of products and system parts and components; maintain mix of products on Company’s web site for online purchases and process POS (point of sale) purchases.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound customer calls and follow-up emails; Route qualified opportunities to the outside sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Work together with outside sales and provide support for all sales activity.
  • Work with the corporate marketing group to produce marketing materials to assist the sales efforts and achieve the sales plan.
  • Generate daily invoices and monthly statements, manage receivables, cash collections, and assist with general A/R functions and reporting.
  • Additional tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Required Credentials:

  • At least 5 years of business experience directly dealing with customers.
  • Proven track record of success in customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated efficiency, persistence, and high level of attention to detail in ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with ERP and CRM use and fundamental understanding of configuration; Working knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce preferred.

  • Margin analysis and product pricing adjustments.
  • Supply chain inflation and business response.
  • Development of strategic plans for ongoing revenue and margin growth.
  • Calculate and analyze system and part margins and profitability.
  • Generate and manage business goals and budget for EBIDTA generation and improvement.
  • Makes commercially sound strategic and business decisions using a blend of experience, expertise, and intuition.
