• Hold current professional certification grades 6-12 (all states)
• 3 Years of high school teaching experience
• Instructional Rating of “Effective”, or higher, on previous performance evaluations
• Previous instructional experience using standards based instruction and best practices instructional strategies
• Previous ESOL training or ESOL certification and able to assist students in a 1:1 capacity
• Technologically competent, able to use various forms of technology in lessons
• Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and highly-organized
• Works well in a team environment

• Master’s degree in the field of Science (Biology and/or Chemistry as well as education
• Holds Florida professional teaching certification
• 5 years of previous teaching experience with High School Science
• Previously employed in a public or private high school
• Experience with PBL approaches and providing differentiated instruction for students
• Experience with IEP/504 accommodations
• Previous teaching experience using various forms of technology
• Experience chairing school committees and/or presenting professional development to staff
• Previous experience interdisciplinary and thematic instruction - lessons, activities, and projects
• Meets or exceeds teaching credentials required by FCIS and Cognia
