RN - Hospice

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. • Utilizes the nursing process and practice standards as a framework for the management of patient care.

• Analyzes the assessment data to determine a nursing diagnosis and appropriate interventions.

• Demonstrates leadership in the coordination of patient care across the healthcare continuum with progress towards meeting desired patient outcomes.

• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial and other sensitive material in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and or employees.

• Demonstrates the ability to use good customer service skills by managing and acknowledging patient- family-significant other expectations.

• Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. • 2 year’s relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. Home Health, Oncology, and/or Hospice experience preferred
• Effective problem-solving skills; good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to relate to a variety of health professionals in different settings
• EMR experience preferred

• Current California RN license
• BSN Preferred
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Hospice and Palliative Care Certification preferred.
