Label & Packaging Technician (Co-Lead)

General Description/Purpose

Packaging and labeling co-lead in the day-to-day packing, printing, labeling, receipt, and storage of products, while meeting quality standards and compliance with procedures and State Laws.

Tasks and Nature of Work

1. Applies labels and handles aspects of final packaging of products;

2. Maintains quality standards in labelling and packaging of products;

3. Assists in supply inventory tracking; some interface with BioTrack

4. Assist in batch packaging to ensure products will not be damaged during travel;

5. Ensures all batch counts are accurate

6. Maintains inventory control ;

7. Completes routine inspections and sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, relevant equipment, containers, and/or appliances;

8. Performs related duties as needed.

9. Works in other departments of the manufacturing facility when needed, such as in Grow, Harvest, and Pre-Roll.

Recommended Experience and Education

1. One or more years experience working in a professional setting using labeling machinery and techniques to label retail or other products.

Recommended Knowledge and Skills

Detailed Knowledge

1. Some proficiency in Windows and MS Office software applications.

2. Must be familiar with New Mexico medical cannabis policy and law.

3. Good knowledge of Bio Track THC.

4. Accurate data entry and record keeping.

5. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

6. Effective time management and ability to multi-task

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.

8. Must be accountable and show proactive behaviors with strong attention to details.

General Knowledge

1. General knowledge of basic arithmetic, conversion of metric to standard measurements;

2. Good knowledge of production methods and labelling processes.

3. Some knowledge of computers such as word processing, basic spreadsheets, files, etc.

4. Basic use and knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar and punctuation.

1. Skill in using a computer and labelling applications.

Conditions of Employment:

1. High School diploma or GED Certificate.

2. Must be able to pass both national and state background checks;

3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

4. Must attend sexual harassment training;

5. Must be able to work in an office and non-office setting to include sitting/standing/driving possibly for extended periods.

6. Must possess a current, valid New Mexico Food Handler certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
