Brownfields/Emergency Response Coordinator - Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas & Nebraska

Full time position officed in Reserve, KS. Duties include/ but not limited to: Complete site analysis for potential hazardous contamination, create/maintain a list of possible contaminated properties, and negotiate with vendors to contract analytical services for testing of the sites and report of the findings.
May be required to attend Geographical Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning
System (GPS) training in order to obtain location data and create maps of potential and verified sites, works daily with a computer. Attendance at regional and national meetings as well as trainings/workshops. Conduct community outreach. Work directly with contractors, tribal, state, and federal agencies to complete site assessments and complete site-specific work.
Assist with packaging and maintaining grant compliance, as well as general administration duties such as filing, purchases, financial forms, reporting and directing all correspondence accordingly. Performs other duties as assigned by the Environmental

Department Director or Tribal Council.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A college degree in environmental science or related field is preferred. Experience or training in a Brownfield program, ASTM

I & II, GPS, GIS, and environmental site assessment is desirable.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to work in weather extremes. Must be able to travel. Be able to lift 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license. Paid BCBS health insurance. Native American preference does apply.
