Scope of Responsibility :

Perform material handling duties including, without limitation, lifting, crating or palletizing steel parts, chocking and strapping or banding loads to ensure material is secure before leaving the plant.

Compliance with all safety and environmental standards is required.

Essential Duties :

• Prepare material for shipping and ensure that all loads are properly secured
• Ability to read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Keep work area, machinery, equipment, and control panels clean and organized.
• Actively look for methods to improve production.
• Use all personal protective equipment required, follows all safety / environmental procedures, and does not by-pass any safety devices.
• Addition duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be attentive to working conditions and surroundings at all times
• Basic math skills
• Ability to be trained to operate forklift, hand lift, banding and shrink wrap machine
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
• Good hand / eye coordination
