Saban Community Clinic is Hiring a Senior Appointment Scheduler Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Location: 137 N. Virgil Ave - Los Angeles, CA

Description

Essential Functions

  1. Answer incoming calls in a timely manner based on Clinic standards and protocols.
  2. Schedule appointments accurately maximizing practitioners time and making sure that the patient is placed in the appropriate appointment template for their medical needs or request. When unable to assist the patient through the Appointment Center, make sure that the patients is directed to the appropriate staff for an efficient resolution of their medical needs.
  3. Answer questions regarding clinic services and appointment related information; direct unrelated questions to appropriate staff.
  4. Confirm or cancel appointments in accordance with Clinic policies and procedures
  5. New patient contact based on monthly IPA reports
  6. Assist Supervisor with reports/audits and documentation on Appointment Scheduler activities.
  7. Assist Supervisor with training staff.
  8. Ensure smooth running of Call Center department in the absence of Supervisor.
  9. When an appointment is cancelled make sure that the appropriate schedule/template has updated as appropriate.
  10. Close, reschedule, and block Templates as requested/directed by the Call Center Supervisor.
  11. Make sure that rescheduling of appointments is done only when instructed to do so by Call Center Supervisor.
  12. Provide input to supervisor on issues that need attention and improvement.
  13. Resolves patients complaints/concerns in a professional manner or refers to supervisor as needed.
  14. May be required to assist with running reports as assigned
  15. Assist in updating patient referral status using Medpoint to OCHIN Epic.
  16. Other responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications


Position Requirements

  • High School certificate.
  • 3-5 years in a Call Center environment preferred.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish preferred.
  • Must demonstrate excellent telephone and customer service relation skills.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Will be required to work some Saturdays and on occasion on weekdays.
  • Covid-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment as required by State law. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Physical Activity

Perform all or some of the following tasks during the workday: reading, writing, speaking, listening, typing and sitting for long periods of time, standing and walking.

Equipment Used

Operate any or all of the following: personal computer, telephone, photocopy, fax machine working extensively with computers.
