Saab, Inc., is seeking a Security Manager/Facility Security Officer to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This individual will manage a small team of security professionals while ensuring Saab is compliant with the National Industrial Security Program and internal security policies and procedures. The right individual should be well organized with the ability to thrive in fast-paced high-stress situations.
The position involves:
maintaining DoD program compliance as it pertains to responsibilities, requirements and obligations associated with holding a Facility Clearance (FCL)
interpreting policies and applying mitigation strategies to minimize vulnerabilities and incidents
providing timely and accurate Industrial Security guidance to Human Resources, Recruiting, Contracts, Program Managers and Staff
ensuring data compliance for multiple CAGEs in DISS and NISS
ensuring all personnel and facilities related actions are carried out within the appropriate system of record (DISS, NISS, NBIS)
coordinating all onboarding activities for new hires, including monitoring and follow-up of completed paperwork, coordinating fingerprint collection/submission and conducting/reviewing security in-briefings and training
coordinating employee out-processing, including but not limited to security out-briefings
performing self-inspections and participate in government Continuous Monitoring reviews and on-site inspections
Managing SEAD 3 reporting requirements
development and maintenance of a robust travel security program
developing, coordinating and implementing the security education program
maintenance of all required files in preparation for any onsite inspections from DCSA
producing finished documentation, e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, security designs, training programs and assessments
providing research and technical support to projects, produces solutions and documentation, and monitors project tasks and schedules
Compensation Range: $108,000-$137,700
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:must possess an active TS security clearance
ability to manage special projects and training initiatives
expert knowledge working with a security system of record in coordination with DISS, NISS, NBIS, and other government security systems of record
expert knowledge of the NISPOM and ability to interpret government policy (NISPOM, ICD, SEAD, etc.)
experience with or knowledge of Foreign Ownership Control and Influence and Special Security Agreements
experience providing briefings to large audience and Executive Leadership
must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
Required Education/Certifications:
BA/BS degree in an engineering, cyber security, or equivalent discipline
12 years of relevant experience
Or
MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline or related discipline
8 years or relevant experience
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
