Job Description:Saab, Inc. has multiple facilities throughout the United States and is opening additional facilities in the coming years. We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Director, Facilities to direct the running of our facilities and create a safe and efficient work environment that improves business performance and optimizes staff productivity.
The Facilities Director is a member of the Operations leadership team interfacing with senior executives to envision, create, and execute corporate strategic plans and initiatives and leads the efforts of the division facility managers. This position interfaces with senior program and project stakeholders, plus representatives of government regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Additionally, this position integrates activities with enterprise service organizations (IT, Security, Environmental, Health & Safety, Corporate Communications, Human Resources and Supply Chain) through collaboration by establishing priorities and effectively planning, scheduling, and coordinating service deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Manages, plans, and directs corporate facilities operations to ensure support levels deliver on corporate needs and customer requirements.
- Leads collaboration across internal enterprise service organizations to set priorities and effectively plan, schedule, and activate an integrated delivery model.
- Monitors customer regulations, along with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances to determine impact on Saab, Inc.; develops and adapts internal operating practices accordingly.
- Reviews and approves long-range facilities requirements for development of capital forecasts, building construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization plans.
- Prepares facilities requirements for developing capital and overhead budgets.
- Oversees contracted engineering study, design, and construction activities.
- Leads the development of Master Facilities Plan and Strategic Facilities Plan; supports development of Maintenance Action Plans.
- Leads development of building criteria and guidelines for new construction, restoration, and modernization of owned and leased building portfolio.
- Monitors organizational performance through relevant metrics, data analytics, and key performance indicators.
- Directly supervise division facility managers.

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, construction management, facilities management, or related field
- Ten or more years of facilities management experience including industry best practices, standards, and methodologies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and corporate staff with effective interpersonal skill and communication; works well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and projects and integrate across other internal service organizations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional site locations (:25%).
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
