• Operate safety equipment, and use safe work habits;
• Torch cut metal parts, large metal pieces, or components into smaller sizes;
• Torch cut metal parts in flat, horizontal, or vertical position;
• Guide torch at specified speed & angle to cut or trim metal;
• Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications;
• Review work orders in preparation for cutting metal components;
• Select & insert gas nozzle into holder and connects hoses to achieve gas specifications;
• Connects & turns regulator valves to activate & adjust gas flow & pressure to desired flame level;
• Select & install torch or torch tip according to chart specifications or type and thickness of metal;
• Pre-heats work piece using hand torch;
• Inspects backflow devices & gauges to ensure operational condition.

Our final candidate will be required to successfully pass a thorough background check, which includes a criminal history check and previous employment check if an external candidate. A post-offer physical and drug test will be required of external applicants.
