Company DescriptionHighly successful Electrical Installation company looking to expand their team. Located in Raritan New Jersey !Job DescriptionJob Description: As a member of our team you will be responsible for estimating work as scheduled by the operations manager for bid. Estimator will be responsible for all job costs from estimating to project completion. This position works closely with electrical supply houses, contractors, home owners architects and building officials.Job Duties:- Bid commercial and residential projects with enough detail to provide accurate budgets- Work with administrator regarding bid documents- Attend walkthroughs and pre-construction meetings- Assist in creating a project plan and schedule of values- Create purchase orders for daily materials, light fixture and switchgear packages- Coordinate and obtain material submittals for approval- Production rate tracking and production reporting- Work with Field Forman and Project Manager to create change orders- Obtain and manage close out documents- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas of future improvementDesired Skills and Experience:- College degree (electrical engineering degree is a plus) preferred- 1-3 years experience as a junior estimator- Excellent verbal and written communication- Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse fast paced environment- Willing to travel as needed- Strong computer skills- Ability to learn new software quickly and must be proficient in Microsoft Office- Responsible for facilitating and managing a computerized electrical estimating system, database, labor factors and updates.- Must have valid NJ drivers licenseReporting:- The Jr. Electrical Estimator will report directly to the Operations Manager and President.Physical Requirements:- Must be able to climb ladders, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods- Ability to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions- Must be able to travel to job site locationsCompensation:- TBD based on experience- 401k available- Room for growth within the companyQualificationsCollege Degree Preferred2-4 years experience with estimatingAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
