S3 Security is seeking full-time overnight security officer in the Gainesville FL area. Dedicated Security Officers will work at one primary post. These officers must be capable of performing foot patrols, interacting with community residents , conducting residency checks, enforcing property policy and its lease agreement, responding to calls for service, communicating with the security team and Security Dispatch center, report writing, while proactively deterring criminal activity.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THURSDAY - SUNDAY 7PM-7AM.

The job duties of a Dedicated Security Officer will include but are not limited to:

• Inside/outside patrolling of property and grounds; Hourly rounds looking for disturbances, vandalism, trespassing, loitering and unwanted activity.
• Work closely with Patrol Officers and local law enforcement on any high-level issues
• Reporting on regular activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns
• Controlled access duties will include: Checking ID’s and personal property being brought onto the property.
• Protect a site (apartment complex, business mall, construction site, special events, etc.) in a fixed location by following the S3 protocol as outline in the S3 Standard Operating Procedures.
• Additional duties as required by the Site Post Orders
• A high level of customer interaction is required and customer service is a MUST.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Class D Security License
• Proof of ability to work in the United States
• Pass a multi-panel drug screening
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Be familiar with typing and computer use
• Be able to learn new computer software in an efficient and effective time frame
• Be able to perform moderate physical tasks
• Complete all appropriate training modules
• No criminal convictions as specified under S3 Policies and Procedures

PREFERRED APPLICANTS MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Criminal Justice Academy Graduate / College degree in Criminal Justice or a similar field
• Former/Current Law Enforcement Officer (includes military law enforcement)
• US Military Veteran
• Private Security background
