This position is responsible for estimating, quantity take-off, preparing and submitting proposals, client development and coordination of commercial and residential painting projects. As the estimator/PM, you will coordinate and successfully deliver and plan projects with various employees, contractors, owners and vendors. This position will be responsible for managing each project from estimating to project completion and keeping senior management informed and involved on a daily basis.

Job Functions:

1. Prospecting for new clients

2. Job-walks with clients and customers

3. Review plans, specs, and bid criteria in order to create a detailed quantity take off

4. Provide written estimates with qualifications and submit formal quotes

5. Track and follow up on all quotes

6. Review contracts

7. Schedule with field supervisors and material suppliers

8. Manage multiple projects, process all change orders, and monitor job costs through completion

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong computer skills in Excel, Outlook, MS Word, On Screen Takeoff (or other plan takeoff software)

• Familiarity or experience with local client base

• Strong customer service, organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills

Education and Work Experience:

• 3-5 years in construction/paint contracting industry experience preferred

• High school diploma

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
