S&S Employment Partners is Hiring a Purchasing Specialist Near Des Moines, IA
One of our clients is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage vendors and source goods.
This is a full-time direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $48,000/year based on your experience. You work Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. This position is 100% on-site.
Some of your responsibilities as a Purchasing Specialist include:
- Performing procurement activities
- Working with multiple vendors
- Maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Evaluating market conditions
- Working with internal teams to understand purchasing needs
- Maintaining accurate records
- Negotiating
- Reviewing purchase orders
- Identifying purchasing opportunities
- Developing and maintaining relationships
- Ensuring optimal returns
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify for this Purchasing Specialist position, you must have two (2) years of purchasing/procurement experience. In addition, you must have:
- BA in Business Administration or Supply Chain a plus
- Two (2) years purchasing/procurement experience
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Understanding of industry compliance and regulation standards
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Inventory Management experience
- Ability to lift or move 20 pounds regularly
