We are seeking an experienced General Foreman. As a General Foreman you will monitor construction projects, subcontractors and be available to perform general trades tasks as needed. You will assist with the installation of various building systems mechanical and plumbing on commercial and / or industrial construction sites.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction projects, supervise subcontractors, communicate with the project superintendent and PM.
  • Maintain professional appearance and communication with clients and customers.
  • Perform minor general trades tasks (Drywall repair, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with installations and building of HVAC, duct, piping, and plumbing equipment/materials within commercial / industrial construction sites.
  • Help fabricate, assemble, install, and repair all types of mechanical and plumbing related materials and equipment, as needed under project supervision.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for the installation of various systems.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Ability to work alone or within a team.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and staging on the jobsite.
  • Ability to work from ladders, man lifts at various heights.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

  • 3 years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • OSHA 10 hour preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools including tape measures preferred.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform routine measurements and calculations. Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and decimals.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience with general trades

Additional Requirements

  • Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
  • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved)
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
  • Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
