Job Title: Director of Fleet Operations

The primary function of this role is to oversee the operations of our vehicles and lifts including managing the department supervisors.

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus on effective operations, asset management and procurement. The Director Fleet Operations may be required to take after-hour and emergency phone calls.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support garage maintenance operations including effective scheduling
  • Determine repair priority
  • Maximize Comunale owned equipment utilization
  • Provide suggestions on purchase and retirement of company own equipment
  • Work with management on vehicle acquisitions and disposals
  • Work with team on vehicle management and service schedules
  • Ensure 3rd party equipment rentals on as needed basis only
  • Periodic travel to branches and job sites as required

Qualifications:

Education / Work Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience Asset Manager or similar position is required.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Previous management experience required
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, including DOT regulations is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications.
