Construction Worker
Construction Laborer
Currently interviewing motivated, hard-working laborers for full-time construction projects. Experience in electrical, carpentry, concrete, painting, or maintenance a plus. Qualified applicants MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A good portion of the work we perform is on military bases and schools, so no recent criminal history is preferred. After a probationary period, benefits are offered to employees (Health, Dental, Simple IRA Retirement Plan, Vacation & Sick pay).

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople and machine operators in construction projects
• Erect and break up scaffolding, ramps, etc. with attention to safety
• Unload and carry materials at construction sites
• Use equipment to break old forms and structures
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g., cement)
• Smooth and level new concrete or other materials
• Clean out site from debris and discarded material
• Place cones and barricades where appropriate

Skills

• Proven experience as a construction worker
• Experience in operating equipment like skid steers, backhoes, trench rammers, drills, pneumatic hammers, etc.
• Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
• Able to work in a team
• Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
• High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

At least one year of construction experience

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
