Position Description :
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Service Center Operator position. As a Service Center Operator you are responsible for ensuring the material meets a customer's expectations by checking the size, finish, and accuracy of the finished product.

This position is 2nd Shift. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 2 : 00 PM- 10 : 00 PM.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Safety is a priority you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training
You start the day reviewing production orders then preparing your material for processing
You will use a crane and / or forklift to move material for outbound shipping
Check to make sure your machine and station is in working order and identify any issues
You will keep your work area clean and ensure that all workplace hazards are reported immediately
All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Position Requirements :
Additional requirements based on what machine a candidate would be using and the skills needed to operate (if applicable)
Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements
Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time.
Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
Position requires Ramsay Assessment insert this : Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
