We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Prior Authorization Specialist for medications as well as diagnostic studies. . As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that medical procedures and treatments are approved by insurance companies.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify insurance coverage for patients
- Obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures and treatments and medications
- Communicate with insurance companies to gather necessary information and documentation
- Complete and submit required forms and documentation for prior authorizations
- Follow up on pending authorizations and provide updates to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate records of prior authorization requests and outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure all necessary information is provided for authorization
- Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines, and HIPAA regulations

Skills:
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with medical records management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
