WHAT WE NEED...

Our Design Technology Studio seeks a BIM Specialist to provide BIM leadership, technical and production support, and skills development training to our interior design staff. We need a versatile individual capable of coordinating BIM projects with both internal teams and external consultants. We need someone with a passion for changing the world through design and who knows that technology is a crucial part of making that happen.

WHAT YOU’LL DO….

You’ll join the Design Technology Studio, which focuses on implementing processes that let us do better, faster, and more innovative design. Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management and setup of interior design BIM projects.
  • Working with our fantastic design teams, including some direct project work.
  • Refining and documenting internal BIM processes and standards.
  • Modeling complex designs in Revit (or other 3D software).
  • Providing staff training and support at the desktop and in the classroom.
  • Keeping our BIM content libraries fresh.
  • Investigating, creating, and testing new workflow automations and software solutions.
  • Working on technology projects that improve our big-picture capabilities.
  • Attending continuing education and networking events to keep your knowledge sharp.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS…

  • A relevant degree or certificate in interior design, architecture, or similar.
  • Power-user Revit skills or better: You need to know Revit top to bottom, including how to harness model data.
  • An understanding of industry BIM best practices and the ability to implement them in our projects.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and teaching skills.
  • A knack for creative problem-solving.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS…

  • 5 years of interior design or architecture practice.
  • 3 years of comprehensive, large-firm BIM experience in a BIM-specific or power user role.
  • Additional skills: Enscape, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Bluebeam, 3D printing, coding.
