Using prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, the Pharmacy Technician will process new patient registrations using the assigned system(s).
Assists customers by answering the phones, emails, giving prices, shipping, troubleshooting, etc. Calling doctors for prescription approvals and refills.
Updates patient records, processes invoices, and makes phone call entries using computerized system..
Salary dependent upon experience

Job Specifics and Requirements-
Area : Jeffersonville, IN
Licensure Requirements : Must have open, active, and in good standing IN State Pharmacy Technician License
Education : H.S. Diploma
Years of Experience : 1 year
Setting : Data Entry
Schedule : Flexible 8-hour shifts from 7 : 00AM to 7 : 00PM
Length of Assignment : Temporary to Permanent
Pay : $18.50 for Techs & $20.50 for CPhT
Background / Drug Requirements : Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.
Data Entry / CSR Pharmacy Technician
Job Responsibilities :
- Assists Pharmacist in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer to the extent
- allowable by State law. Preserves patient confidentiality.
- Assists customers by answering phones, emails, providing price quotes, phoning / faxing prescribers for prescription
- information. Provides prompt and courteous customer service.
- Prepares third-party insurance claims, processes invoices, and makes accounting entries using computerized system.
- Cleans and organizes department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, dusting and filing. Empties trash and shredders.
- Translate prescriptions filled out by the prescriber and enter information in the patient’s profile, in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform quality assurance, prescriber and patient outreach, and adverse event reporting.
- Resolve all data entry related exceptions.
- Identify and communicate issues to senior level staff as appropriate.
- Enter data into computer, and transcribe notes.
- Assist the Pharmacy Technician II and Pharmacy Technician I in facilitating the data entry process.
- Utilize pharmacy-directed applications and information systems for reporting and inquiry.
- Follow detailed guidelines, instructions and procedures given by management and staff.
- Work well in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment.
