We are looking for an Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing technicians tasked with the assembly of large engine packages.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will perform pre-shift planning and prioritization activities to execute the Production Plan. Assign work assignments when needed.
• Make sure employees perform assigned tasks and that each team member understands the process.
• Oversee the daily morning meetings to explain the Production Plan to employees.
• Check in on employees and resources throughout the shift to make sure workflow and problem-solving are effective.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment while ensuring compliance with systems, policies, and procedures.
• Create an environment where strong communication amongst the team and between shifts is encouraged.
• Create daily summaries about how the day went and be part of the hiring selection, orienting, and training of employees and performance reviews.
• Mentor employees and develop growth plans.
• Use team metrics and root causes for corrective actions and assures team members understand the performance.
• Plan and execute team budget and perform administrative duties where needed. Builds a culture of customer awareness and delivery ownership.
• Create a collaborative work environment and continuously improve team performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of an Associates degree in a technical discipline with 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, production planning, and communication skills.
• Experience with Continuous improvement concepts and 5S/6S techniques
• Knowledge of ISO, AS9100, etc.)
• Ability to work beyond longer hours when needed.
• Preferred experience includes Navy Nuclear or Shipyard Previous Motor Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly experience and familiarity with Controlled Work Packages.
