**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients and medical staff.

**Responsibilities:**

- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment calendars

- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays

- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) using AthenaHealth or similar systems

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions

- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel

- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed

- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers

**Experience:**

- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting

- Familiarity with medical scheduling software such as AthenaHealth or similar systems

- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and ER protocols

- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent patient service

- Proficiency in general office tasks including data entry, filing, and organization
