The role of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act, to those patients experiencing a health care condition of varying acuity,
It is the responsibility of the ED RN to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals in settings where patients require complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions and continuous nursing vigilance,
ED RNs relies upon a specialized body of knowledge, skills and experience to provide care to patients and families and create environments that are healing, humane and caring,
The ED RN is a patient advocate, respecting and supporting the basic values, rights and beliefs of all patient populations,
Your Qualifications Are: |
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred. |
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN). |
Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire. |
One year current RN experience in ED setting highly preferred. In lieu of ED experience, must have minimum one year RN experience in Med-Surg or Critical Care in hospital setting. |
Obtains required ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire. |
The ED RN is responsible for the age-appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care within a designated time period,
The ED RN provides nursing care based on department and regulatory requirements,
The ED RN works collaboratively with other members of the health care team,
$80,509 Minimum to $111,274 Maximum Annual Base Salary
