JOB SUMMARY:
Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Patient Care Services. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
EDUCATION:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
Current BLS (American Heart Association) is required upon hire.
Required to work every other weekend.
Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or completion of requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to unit.
Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
