Job Overview:

The Clinical Nutrition Manager is responsible for orga

nizing and directing the daily activities of patient services including staffing, sanitation and labor budget management. Implementing quality controls to follow city, state and federal regulations. Responsible for the QA/QC program of the Food and Nutrition Department. Leads and documents all efforts to improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor Degree from and accredited institution with a major in Dietetics or Food Management
• Or 3-5 years experience in hospital food service management or supervision
• Successful completion of general site orientation
• Successful completion of department specific orientation

Scheduling Requirements:

• 40 hours/ week
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Labor Management - Assisting in the preparation of the bimonthly schedules according to exsisting labor budget parameters
• Manages department orientation and training programs.
• Supervises and documents the training of new associates and works closely with the mentors to ensure a proper foundation of training to reduce turnover
• Proactively promote patient satisfaction
• Analyze and react to trends in Press Ganey Surveys and adjust procedures and processes for improvement
• Seek solutions to deviations in food quality or services.
• Establish an environment that provides timely service recovery and promotes visibility of the patient service's supervisor on the patient floor
• Promotes communication in the kitchen through regularly scheduled meetings
• Responsible the overall kitchen sanitation and food safety, including meeting or exceeding all local and state regulations for proper food handling and sanitation.
• Report any equipment issues for repairs
