Job Overview:

The position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse who will be trained as a wound care nurse as well as hyperbaric technician who utilizes the Nursing Process to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Current New Jersey LPN license
• Must attend a 40 hour hyperbaric technician course either in person or online
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
• Must have good inter personal and communication skills

Preferred:

• Prior experience with billing and coding

Certifications and Licenses:

• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Current New Jersey LPN license

Scheduling Requirements:

• Days 8:00AM 4:00PM
• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time (40 hrs)
• Mandatory orientation

Essential Functions:

• This individual will work in both areas of the wound center daily
• In addition to these duties, wound care nurses often serve as advocates, wellness educators, and cheerleaders for their patients, especially for those who frequently require relatively painful procedures or surgeries
• This specialty requires a combination of patience, empathy and ambition in order to stay up to date on best practices,
