Summary of Job Function: Provide primary health care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment and management abilities to restore, maintain, and improve the health status of the pediatric patients, including infant, pediatric and adolescent age groups. Meets all requirements on competency skills checklist. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Job Qualifications: Master s degree in Nursing required with certification of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the National Board of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners or American Nurse Association preferred. Three to five years prior experience in an ambulatory health care setting required. Active New Jersey License/eligibility for National Certification in Pediatrics. BLS required.
