RWD Consulting is Hiring an Office Business Manager Near Morgantown, WV

RWD Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Business Manager. This position in Morgantown, West Virginia at the CDC NIOSH Research Center. Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager this position will be the most senior administrative manager on the team responsible for all aspects of the financial management of site operations. The business manager works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to corporate and site policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. A commitment to carrying out the company's quality policy is required. The business manager must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers and other employees.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):

  • Work closely with the project manager and corporate finance to manage and track budgets and spending for multiple locations
  • Ensure purchasing is within contract requirements and follows appropriate guidelines
  • Obtain quotes for materials and services
  • Invoice management, cost accounting and reporting, and budget control; procurement (e.g. subcontracting services, procuring material and supplies, etc.) and property management
  • Purchase materials and supplies for multiple sites and track delivery dates for these items
  • Track overtime hours for all employees
  • Support the creation of proposals for projects and large purchases
  • In addition to the finance functions, this role requires the individual to spend time in the field providing quality assurance for jobs performed
  • Manage Information technology resources and administrative support services;
  • Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner
  • Lead the administrative and technical management of site maintenance and engineering, cost control, schedule control, and overall performance. Will work directly with the Technical Manager to ensure compliance of field operations, quality control and assurances.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30PM

Travel

This role will require up to 10% travel.

Required Education and Experience

  • 5-7 years’ experience in similar role with a BA in Business Management or related field.
  • Experience in public health or government environment, preferred
  • Sr. Administrative experience with emphasis in procurement or purchasing
  • Must have valid driver’s license and pass background check
