RWC, Inc. has an immediate need for general laborers to assist on spray crews for the 2024 spray season, which generally stretches into early to mid fall. Laborers will be trained to assist crews with all aspects of the herbicide application and maintenance of equipment. You will receive instruction on operating our state of the art equipment, and will also become familiarized with concepts of right of way herbicide applications and railroad operations.

*** $50 per day per diem for each day traveling

RWC, Inc. is a vegetation management company specializing in herbicide applications for the railroad industry. Join our team of licensed professionals as they travel the country, providing vegetation control services for major railroad customers in order to keep their right of way safe and clear of undesirable vegetation. At RWC, Inc. you will become certified and licensed to apply herbicides in various states and will be trained to operate our customized, state of the art equipment.

Positions require extensive travel during peak season (mid February - mid September). Employees are dispatched out of respective home office for travel to job sites in company equipment. While working on the road, company provides lodging and also per diem reimbursement for meals and other travel expenses. Employees earn paid time off to be used between trips from each assignment over 10 days. During the off season, full time employees work a regular 40 hour week Monday-Friday in a shop setting.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years old
• Driver's license
• Good driving record
• Maintain DOT medical certificate
• Ability to read & understand written instructions and documents
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to safely climb, mount & dismount equipment using ladders, steps, & platforms
• Maintain assigned equipment
• Ability to maintain alertness and acuity in fast paced, industrial type environment
• Ability to work away from home for consecutive days / weeks at a time and at hours which could exceed typical 8 hour workday
• Ability to clear a criminal history / background check required by Railroad customers.
• Strict adherence to drug & alcohol testing and policies as required by federal regulations.
• Ability to perform all job functions safely & effectively and in accordance with all company & customer policies.
