The financial analyst will work within our FP&A department and will work with internal customers to design and build business intelligence tools that blend business knowledge with analytics and insights. In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced and complex Business Intelligence tools and processes (reports, dashboards, automation, analytic solutions) to support the needs of our internal customers which include Ownership, General Managers, Department Managers, and Sales Teams, as well as external stakeholders. The financial analyst will work with and transform large datasets into meaningful and actionable insights, reporting, and self-service tools that support business process reviews, monitoring operational effectiveness, and profitable growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expert level proficiency in querying databases directly. The ability to query, compile, automate, and manipulate large datasets in the development and creation of performance dashboards for monitoring, reporting, and self-service of goals and KPIs
• Develop advanced BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions) through the entire development life-cycle to provide data necessary to effectively make business decisions and measure goal attainment and overall performance
• Lead and participate in work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions that emphasize speed to market results
• Create ad hoc reports and data extracts against databases using Power BI, SQL, and MS Excel
• Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance and responsiveness
• Troubleshoot, optimize, test and document reporting solutions to ensure solutions perform as expected and meet performance requirements 

Salary range for Financial Analyst (depending on role and experience level) can range from $75,000-$130,000 annual salary.

 Knowledge Requirements 

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of Business Intelligence experience
• 3 years of Power BI design, publishing, scheduling, and optimization (dashboards/reports)
• Experience developing efficient data models in Power BI
• Experience coding DAX measures/queries
• Experience sourcing SQL datasets and moving them into Power BI
• Experience and knowledge of Power BI data security
• Ideal candidate has a strong SQL background with ability to create views and stored procedures
• You are a proven self-starter and you provide strong strategic proficiency, clear thinking and presenting, and excellent decision-making
• You obsess about making our end-users happy and have strong opinions about good customer experience
• You are creative and resourceful, with no fear of getting into the details and an impulse to be the first to take on any challenge
