Job Brief - Mid Level Program Manager Type: Long-term Contract

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager with expertise in Applications, Infrastructure, and Security projects. This role requires strong project management skills and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in these domains.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans for application, infrastructure, and security projects at Boyd, covering all phases from discovery and planning to execution and reporting.
  • Define project scope, milestones, goals, and deliverables in alignment with the established IT governance model.
  • Create and manage project timelines, including activities, tasks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and assemble the project team, including project owner and vendor-partner.
  • Manage vendor-partner effort estimates, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to track project deliverables.
  • Identify, mitigate, and report project risks and issues (RAID Log management).
  • Collaborate effectively with the program management office and program leadership.
  • Monitor and provide accurate progress reports to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports highlighting project progress, problems, and proposed solutions.
  • Manage the project backlog and prioritization using project management tools.
  • Coordinate project activities, meetings, and communication.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that impede progress.
  • Facilitate effective implementation of changes.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Guide development teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, specifically in Applications, Infrastructure, and Security projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects with responsibility for budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Hands-on experience in managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, communications, procurement, and organizational change management.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams of subject matter experts with varying levels of project experience.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in managing applications, infrastructure, and security projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks and practices.
  • Knowledge of IT governance and compliance requirements.
