RVOS Farm Mutual Insurance Company is Hiring a Property Field Claims Adjuster Near Houston, TX

We are currently seeking to add an experienced Property Field Adjuster to our team.

***REQUIRED***

Please do not apply unless you meet all three criteria.

  • Valid Texas All Lines Adjuster License
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Field Property Claims Adjusting – physically inspecting property and assessing damages accordingly
  • Must reside within a 1- hour radius of the ‘home’ area of Houston, Texas.

What you can expect

  • Perform onsite inspections of property and complete thorough estimates
  • Communicate with members regarding coverage, accurately estimate damages and effectively negotiate claims
  • Investigate all residential and commercial losses and handle, to conclusion, claims within established claim guidelines
  • Maintain effective communication with all members throughout the claims process both verbally and in writing
  • Collect facts, investigate loss, and approve or deny payment in line with policy coverages and company guidelines
  • Must be able to climb ladders, balance at various heights, stoop, bend and/or crawl to inspect structures

What you will need

  • Must have valid Texas adjuster’s license
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience adjusting property claims in the field is required
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, endorsements, claims handling procedures, and basic building construction principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgement
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems
  • Acceptable credit and background check, including clean driving record and drug screen

Physical demands

· May be subject to walking on uneven or unstable terrain, regular occasions of standing, bending, reaching, carrying, kneeling, pulling, crouching, climbing, crawling, confined spaces, or lifting such as when reviewing plans, specifications, and conducting inspections.

· May be subject to extended working hours and need to respond to emergencies on an on call basis.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
