STEAM EducatorRutland Middle School Rutland Public Schools seeks a dynamic, creative, student-oriented, school teacher for the Rutland Middle School as a STEAM Educator. We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified teacher who is endorsed or capable of being endorsed in Design and Technology Education or an Educational Technology Specialist. The educator should have the skills to teach students in grades 7-8 independently while supporting teachers through technology integration and STEAM while working as a collaborative co-teacher and STEAM coach.The successful candidate must be excited about developing programs and building systems to support student learning and engagement. This position requires a flexible professional who is excited to operate in a tri-fold manner as a teacher, co-teacher, and integrationist/coach supporting other teachers. This position will incorporate: -Working with the other STEAM Educators K12 and in the building to design curricula that revolves around the ISTE standards, while also incorporating standards from other disciplines such as the CSTA, etc.-Teaching 21st Century lessons that include the engineering design process, PBL, and incorporate concrete hands-on skills (for example electrical projects, use of hand tools, 3D design, physical coding of objects, VR, AR, electronics and circuits, cardboard construction, Makey-Makey and Google Suite of Tools online office suites, and distance learning tools.-Working on collaborative teams to develop and implement integrated units of study through relevant projects.-Leading a small group of students within an Advisory.-Research, identify, and assess new and current tools and apps for student engagement and applicability.-Supporting colleagues and administration in implementing grading and reporting software and school schedules.
