We are looking for an Access Control Technician (Non-Union) to join our team in Eastern, PA.
Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks associated with slide, swing and barrier arm gate installation and repair, as well as other tasks related to the repair and/or installation of various types of fence and gate systems.
• Various tasks include using hand tools, placing concrete, carrying materials, etc.
• General cleanup and organization of work area and any Company property.
• Install systems and gates using hand and power tools, small equipment, ladders, and any other installation device as described per task.
• Actively attend and participate in the review of daily work plan including the identifying of delegation of specific tasks for the day with associated hazards and mitigation strategies with co-workers and any other crews working on the job site.
• Load and unload trucks including securing cargo.
• Obtain and maintain any requirement specified per position.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including performing routine inspections, 360 walk around, and requesting service as needed.
• Inspect all tools, equipment, and PPE before use.
• Trench, pull wire, saw cut asphalt and concrete, mix concrete, dig holes, weld, install angle iron track, hang gates, straighten bent gates, etc.
• Patch concrete and asphalt.
• Program and Service all makes and models of gate operators, card readers, gate hardware and access control related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose failed access control equipment in the field.
• Provide job layout recommendations and equipment locations.
• Work with low voltage, 110-volt and 220-volt circuits, wiring, and electrical panels.
• Communicate confidently with management, support staff, customers, fellow employees, vendors, and sub-contractors.

Qualifications:

• Must have certifications or 2 years of access control experience in gate installation.
• Must have at least (1) year of construction experience.
• Experience with installing servicing and preventative maintenance on security control equipment.
• Basic low voltage electrical experience.
• General knowledge of access control, intrusion, and CCTV / IP camera systems.
• Comfortable working on ladders, scissor lifts.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to prioritize safety.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Several years of experience at building and/or fabricating fence structures at the highest-skill levels.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and shoulder a multitude of responsibilities.
• Ability to supervise crews to ensure high-quality workmanship and a healthy team environment.
• Ability to engage customers and associated contractors.
• Ability to comply with and meet Company attendance schedule.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work long hours during busy times.
• Computer skills including Microsoft applications, email, Bluebeam, and other applications, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and/or stretching.
• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time.
• Must be able to travel, if needed.
• Must be aware of exposure to characteristic construction-site dangers.
• Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at jobsites.
