MCJROTC Instructor
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
To provide instruction in leadership and self-discipline for students that enables them to learn to the maximum of their ability.
Qualifications:
· Must be an Honorably retired US Marine Officer with a minimum of 20 years of active-duty service
· Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
· Retired less than 3 years from the effective date of employment
· Must meet Marine Corps JROTC height/weight/body fat standards, high standards of military bearing, appearance and moral character
· Must have initial JROTC certification from Marine Corps JROTC Headquarters
· Instructor experience preferred
Serve as liaison between Marine Corps and the civilian community by representing both Marine Corps and Rutherford County Schools.
Perform other duties as required to effectively carry out the JROTC program and the mission of the school.
All JROTC instructors are responsible to the Marine Corps JROTC Headquarters to follow military regulations.
To maintain performance standards of the RSCHS JROTC at the highest level possible to ensure a national recognized program exists.
Maintain accountability of all equipment IAW MCO 1533.6E, including items requiring formal accountability (i.e., air rifles), informal accountability (i.e., clothing) and durable items costing $5,000 or less (i.e., automation, computers, audiovisual) but still require property accountability.
Requisition, receive, store, issue, inventory, and account for supplies requisitioned through the Program Support Branch standard operating procedures at Marine Corps JROTC Headquarters.
Conduct a 10% monthly inventory and a 100% annual physical inventory of all government property.
