The purpose of this classification is to supervise work activities and to perform security work associated with maintaining the safety, security, and welfare of inmates at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. Additionally, the position will coordinate community relations activities and provide public education relating to recruitment of employees as well as crime prevention and law enforcement issues. Duties and responsibilities include developing recruitment activities, acting as a liaison between law enforcement and referral or social services agencies, making presentations, providing education and information to the public, preparing, and distributing educational literature, processing documentation, and performing related tasks as assigned.
