Rustic Acres Pet Lodge has an opportunity for an individual that loves animals to join our team! We are proud to serve our local area for pet lodging, doggy daycare, and pet grooming. Feeding and exercising dogs, cleaning kennels, and checking clients in and out will be the main duties. Looking for someone who is available to pick up a shift or two weekly, and fill in for vacations/sick days. Must be flexible and able to work independently. Must be available early mornings, weekends, and evenings.

Previous dog handling in a professional setting is a must!

Responsibilities of this position will include:

FRONT DESK

• Maintain excellent client communication.
• Answer multi-line phone system, emails, and online requests in a courteous and informative way to assist in scheduling services and reservations.
• Checking a pet in and checking a pet out for their service and or reservation.
• Processing payments.
• To perform this job successfully, computer experience is necessary. It will be necessary to become proficient in using the lodge software (GINGR).

KENNEL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide compassionate care to all lodging guests.
• Check-in a pet for lodging, talk with owners, write specific feeding and medication instructions, playtimes, walks, additional services; Record all information on pet lodging forms.
• Record and label all personal belongings.
• Feed and water animals according to schedules.
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and play yard as needed, using hoses, disinfectant, and squeegee broom.
• Clean cat litter boxes and disinfect kitty condos.
• Clean and disinfect all food and water bowls.
• Remove soiled bedding and take it to the laundry area.
• Administer and record medications to pets that require medications while lodging.
• Supervise animals when they are in the play yard.
• Perform additional playtimes or walks for clients who have requested it.
• Check out animals for lodging, talk with owners, return all personal belongings, and review the client's lodging report card.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Perform lodge upkeep as directed.
• Perform equipment maintenance as required. Identify areas or items that are needing additional attention.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a co-worker.
• Endure sitting, standing, and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods.
• Ability to be confident around pets.
• Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment that can be moderately high.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information with all clients and team members.
