Job Title : Banking Operations Specialist

Pay : $20.00 - $21.00 / hour (based upon experience)

Duration : 12-month contract

Schedule : Monday Friday / / 40hrs / week / / 8am-5pmPST

Hybrid schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office. Monday and Friday will be work from home days.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Banking Operations Specialist to join their team. This role is integral in providing high-value operational and relationship support to their Relationship Managers (RMs), Portfolio Managers (PMs), and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high-quality operational and relationship support to Corporate and Commercial Banking RMs, PMs, and external clients.
• Support revenue-generating activities and ensure consistent operational and compliance support.
• Maintain data integrity across all utilized systems and quickly resolve exceptions to minimize financial impacts.
• Proactively identify, research, and resolve customer issues to prevent recurrence.
• Keep abreast of all applicable regulations, credit policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Approve credit exposures (hard and soft) and manage loan onboarding and administration for agented and non-agented deals, bilateral loans, Letters of Credit, and Soft $ Limits.
• Monitor and research causes of overdrafts, daylight overdrafts, and ACH file suspensions to ensure timely approval.
• Conduct covenant and financial credit monitoring.
• Provide marketing and presentation support, including content organization and preparation of final decks.
• Prepare proposals by gathering customer data and conducting research.
• Undertake prospecting projects to identify new leads by industry and geographic region.
• Handle requests for Certificates of Good Standing and order Flood Determinations.
• Manage Salesforce data administration, maintenance, and reporting.
• Conduct Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) search requests.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma / GED
• Strong knowledge of legal documentation related to loan processing.
• Experience providing primary internal support for a Commercial Banking Group.
• Ability to assist with risk management, support compliance in daily credit decisions on deposit accounts, and loans.
• Skilled in conducting research on loans, deposits, loan payoffs, analysis, industry trends, and banking services.
• Critical thinking skills for underwriting approvals, loan documentation, and processes.
