What are we looking for in our Material Process and Sales Representive?

Russell Tobin is working with a leading engineering consulting firm in the Detroit area to add to their growing team! As a Material Process and Sales Representative, you will manage daily operations within the department.

This is a direct-hire / permanent role with full benefits (health / dental / vision / life / 401k).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sales process, material ordering, sub-fabrication setup, and job follow-through to delivery.
• Oversee shop fabrication processes.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
• Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain strong organizational skills, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Set and achieve personal and professional goals.
• Collaborate with customers and sales professionals.
• Prepare and submit written quotations.
• Discuss and review system requirements with customers to make application recommendations based on provided information.
• Gather all necessary information for quoting and work collaboratively with job estimators.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Experience

• Experience with conveyors in the heavy automotive industry, including overhead and floor systems.
• Engineering background or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Shop experience with a good understanding of material processing in a shop environment.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Excellent prioritization skills for managing personal time and workflow of others.
• Thorough understanding of office environments, including the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.

Rate / Salary : $65,000-$85,000 / year
