Responsibilities :

• Affix identifying tags to containers or label them with identifying information.
• Review work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment requirements.
• Maintain records of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Transport freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, either manually or with the use of trucks, tractors, and other machinery.
• Organize cargo before loading and unloading.
• Construct product containers and crates using manual tools and pre-cut lumber.
• Load and unload ship cargo using winches and other lifting equipment.
• Package containers and re-pack damaged containers.
• Retrieve necessary tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.

Skills :

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate as a team member and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to facilitate efficient local, state, or national security operations for the protection of individuals, data, property, and institutions.

Education / Experience :

• Completion of high school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience of 0-2 years preferred.
