What are we looking for in our Instructional Designer?

Role Overview:

Join our team as an Instructional Designer, where you'll be pivotal in creating engaging learning experiences for our global Customer Experience organization. As part of Continuous Improvement, you'll design and enable cross-functional learning solutions that align with our business objectives and promote continuous learning.

Details:

  • Pay: $25-30/hour depending on experience
  • Contract Duration: Apr 29, 2024 - Nov 11, 2024
  • Location: Remote - based in San Francisco, CA
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning solutions (e.g., digital learning, vILT, microlearning, videos, documentation)
  • Design activities and assessments to promote hands-on and experiential learning
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather content and translate complex topics into clear materials
  • Analyze learning needs through needs assessments and audience analysis
  • Author, maintain, and update online courses using real-time training evaluation data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with company goals
  • Design and create digital courses using Articulate Storyline/Rise and other e-learning tools
  • Build assessments to track learner progress and job-readiness
  • Develop networks with facilitators and learners, and track content feedback
  • Stay updated on industry trends in instructional design and digital learning
  • Proactively revise content as products and processes evolve
  • Track and report work using project management tools
  • Create and execute plans to advance the organization's knowledge of learning theories and technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field
  • 1-2 years of proven experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in authoring tools, LMS, and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Articulate Rise 360)
  • Proficiency in virtual training delivery and facilitation tools
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design concepts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Portfolio or samples of previous instructional design work
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional growth
