RUSSELL MEDICAL is Hiring a Radiation Therapist (RT)(T) (As Needed/PRN) Near Alexander, AL
Applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
Carries out pre-treatment preparations including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices. Hours: PRN or as needed with variable hours EDUCATION:
Associates Degree, Bachelors Preferred EXPERIENCEMust be knowledgeable of the operation methods and safety standards of all equipment producing ionizing radiation within the department. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
RequiredMust be certified in radiation therapy technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. BLS certification required within 90 days of employment. EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS:
Linear Accelerator, CT Scan/Simulator, film processor, treatment devices, lead blocks and any other therapeutic equipment/machines or their reasonable accommodation. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of appropriate patient population growth and development.
