The Driver brings our product from our production location to our retail and Cafe locations as well as handling other delivery needs as directed by the Shipping Manager and other Management Staff.

Has full understanding of Russ & Daughters menu items, ingredient components, packing and warehouse materials and is able to read and understand printed invoices/orders, working with the Production staff to prepare and gather for each locations deliveries.
Delivers product in a safe and prompt manner (safely and efficiently packs vehicle to ensure no spills, loss, or damage); works with teams at each location to safely move product from vehicle to destination; accurately checks invoice with receiving team; accounts for and communicates with all parties of missing/incorrect product.
Communicates issues with vehicle, parking violations, traffic delays, or accidents to management immediately; fully complies with all driving rules and regulations.
Has comprehensive knowledge of delivery routes; where our vehicles are able to be driven and where they are not; speed limits, acceptable parking locations.
Responsible for knowledge of and complying with all Navy Yard vehicle driving and parking rules.
Assists Navy Yard production, shipping, porter staff as needed completing tasks in between deliveries. This includes, but is not limited to, making ice gels, light food prep, warehouse maintenance, and cleaning.
Understands and has knowledge of all products (able to identify and explain) that are sent from the Navy Yard to our locations. Able to pack product to protect, assure freshness/quality.
Complies with all health code regulations, handling products within the Navy Yard, during transport, and delivery; wearing appropriate jacket and hat to conform to uniform policy and to best promote and uphold Russ & Daughters mission.
