Position Summary: Responsible for the organizing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the operations of sterile processing, which includes decontamination, instrument and equipment assembly, sterile processing and storage, and assembly of case/supply carts. Responsible for reprocessing and distribution of reusable items throughout the hospital.
Primary Customers: All hospital areas that require sterile instruments and equipment.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School graduate/ GED preferred.
Certifications: Certification as a Registered Sterile Processing Technician
Special Skills: Basic Computer Skills. Must be creative and innovative in
addressing challenges and opportunities; ability to have contact
with physicians, patients and team members on all shifts. Must
have the ability to manage department workflow under stressful
situations.
Experience: Minimum two years Sterile Processing experience. Supervisory
experience preferred
