POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- License: Current state of Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. For hires or transfers on/after 8/1/2013, must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire/transfer date.
- Certifications: CPR required
- CEN preferred
- ACLS required within 3 months of employment.
- PALS and/or ENPC required within 12 months of employment.
- TNCC required within 12 months of employment.
- ECRN required, based on availability of classes
- TNS, based on experience
- NIHSS required
- Special Skills: Strong role model skills to effectively assist unit staff and physicians
- Permission to give moderate sedation under the supervision of the ordering physician
- Experience: Previous ED experience preferred
