What You’ll do

As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be analyzing and enhancing organizational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. The Process Improvement Specialist will collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for optimization, implement effective solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, assess current workflows, and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement innovative process improvements and solutions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize process mapping and modeling techniques to document current and future-state processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented improvements.
  • Facilitate training sessions to educate teams on new processes and ensure successful adoption.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, incorporating them into continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to process improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and change management teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
  • Lead and drive impactful projects that directly contribute to the success and growth of Rural King.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and making a tangible difference.
  • Act as a trusted internal partner across departments to collaborate on initiatives projecting positive business outcomes.
  • Work on high-visibility initiatives that allow you to showcase your skills and expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualities for Success

  • At least 3 years of continuous improvement experience and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in process mapping and modeling tools, as well as data analysis software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in adapting communication style and tone to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels within the organization.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in time management, including the ability to effectively plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet objectives.
  • Adaptable in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.
  • Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address challenges and make effective leadership decisions.

 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.
